Juha Simola, CEO, Temet Group, is speaking at the European Economic Congress in Poland

Apr 28, 2025

Juha Simola is participating as a speaker on the topic of Civil defence at Central Europe's largest business event, the European Economic Congress (EEC) in the International Congress Centre in Katowice, Poland.

The need for civil protection and the level of understanding around it are high in Poland.

Poland has reached an advanced level in civilian protection and in recognizing its importance. Their perspectives and comments aligned well with values of Temet. During the seminar, it was acknowledged that there is a clear need for Civil Shelters, and Finnish expertise in this area was well received. Civil protection in crisis situations is already at a high level, and now is the time to equip shelters with the right systems and components — an area where Temet can offer valuable support.

This year edition of the EEC, held under the slogan “United for a Safer Future”, will take place at an important time for Europe and Poland, and its themes are broadly in line with the agenda of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The figures summarizing the previous edition of the EEC do justice to the scale of the event: 17,000 in-person and remote participants, 650 accredited journalists, 1,200 speakers and 180 debates covering a full spectrum of economic, social and developmental problems.
